Riedel O Wine Pitcher Specifications
Slender and eye-catching, this pitcher from Riedel's O series may be used for all kinds of beverages, or as a vase. Just shy of 10 inches tall, the pitcher isn't large, but is big in personality. The top two-thirds is perfectly cylindrical in a laboratory-beaker sort of way, with just a tiny, drip-resistant spout; while the lower third widens slightly and folds beautifully into finger-size ripples. There is no handle; the pitcher is simply grasped for pouring. Use the pitcher to serve wine, sangria, juice, or lemonade into O tumblers, or a favorite cocktail mix into martini glasses. Two of the pitchers filled with sparkling water can be set on the table so that dinner guests can replenish their glasses. At maximum capacity, the pitcher holds 37 ounces.
Riedel is renowned for designing wine glasses to bring out the best attributes of particular wines, and for innovative, modern design. The O pitcher is crafted in Bavaria of clear, non-lead crystal, and makes a special gift, especially for those with contemporary tastes. For best results, the thin-walled pitcher should be washed by hand. --Ann Bieri
